Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from central Kai, take Route 20 towards Kofu. Follow the signs for Chuo Expressway and merge onto it. Take the exit towards Shinjuku and merge onto the Ken-O Expressway. Continue on the Ken-O Expressway until you reach the exit for Meguro City. Follow local signs to Daien-ji located at 1 Chome-8-5 Shimomeguro. There is parking available near the temple, but please check for any parking fees that may apply.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Daien-ji using public transportation, start by taking a train from Kai Station. Board the JR Chuo Line towards Tokyo and transfer at Shinjuku Station to the JR Yamanote Line. Get off at Meguro Station. From Meguro Station, take the East Exit and walk approximately 10 minutes following the signs to Daien-ji, which is located at 1 Chome-8-5 Shimomeguro. The train fare from Kai to Meguro is approximately 2,000 yen.
