If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Kai city. Head southeast on Route 20. Follow the signs towards Chuo Expressway and enter the highway at the nearest entrance. Continue on the Chuo Expressway for approximately 25 kilometers, then take the exit towards Otsuka. After exiting, follow the local signs for Gokokuji Temple, which is located at 5 Chome-40-1 Otsuka, Bunkyo City, Tokyo 112-0012. Parking is available near the temple, but please check for any parking fees that may apply.

Public Transportation
To reach Gokokuji Temple via public transportation, start at the nearest train station in Kai, such as Kai-Yamato Station. Take the JR Chuo Line towards Tokyo and transfer at Shinjuku Station. From Shinjuku, take the JR Yamanote Line to Ikebukuro Station. At Ikebukuro, transfer to the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line and get off at Yushima Station. From Yushima Station, it is a 15-minute walk to Gokokuji Temple. Be prepared for a small fare for each train transfer, which can total around 1,500 to 2,000 yen depending on your starting point and connections.
