Getting There

    From Kai Station, take the JR Chuo Line towards Tokyo. After approximately 1 hour, transfer at Shinjuku Station to the JR Yamanote Line (green line) towards Ikebukuro. After about 20 minutes, alight at Ikebukuro Station. From Ikebukuro Station, follow the signs to Sunshine City, which is about a 10-minute walk. The observatory is located on the 60th floor of the Sunshine 60 building.

    If you are driving from Kai, take the Chuo Expressway (中央自動車道) towards Tokyo. Merge onto the Shuto Expressway (首都高速道路), and take the Ikebukuro exit. Follow the signs to Sunshine City. There is parking available at the Sunshine City complex, but be aware that parking fees apply, typically around 300 yen per 30 minutes.
