Car
If you're driving from central Kai, head southwest on Route 20. Follow the signs for Mitomikamikamaguchi. After approximately 30 minutes, you will reach the entrance to Nishizawa Gorge. Look for parking areas along the road before entering the gorge.
Public Transportation
To reach Nishizawa Gorge by public transport, start at Kai City Train Station. Take the JR Chuo Line train towards Kofu Station. Once you arrive at Kofu Station, transfer to the Fujikyu Railway line and take a train towards Otsuki Station. Get off at the Mitomi Station. From Mitomi Station, you can take a local bus towards Nishizawa Gorge. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance as they may not run frequently. The bus fare is approximately 500 yen.
Walking
If you're feeling adventurous after reaching the local bus stop, you can walk the last 2 kilometers to the gorge. Follow the signs leading to 'Nishizawa Keikoku'. The path is scenic and will take you through the beautiful landscapes of the area.
