Car
If you are driving from central Kai, start by heading northwest on Route 20. Continue on Route 20 for about 15 kilometers, passing through several small towns. Look for signs directing you to Chichibu. Once you reach Chichibu, follow the signs to Otaki. The Tochimoto Checkpoint Ruins are located in Otaki, Chichibu, Saitama 369-1901. There is free parking available near the ruins.
Public Transportation
From Kai, take a train from the Kai-Zenkoji Station to Chichibu Station. This journey typically requires a transfer at either Otsuki Station or Kobuchizawa Station. After arriving at Chichibu Station, you can take a local bus heading towards Otaki. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Tochimoto Checkpoint Ruins stop.
