Car
From Kai, head southeast on Route 20 towards Kofu. Continue on Route 20 for approximately 25 kilometers until you reach the interchange for the Chuo Expressway. Merge onto the Chuo Expressway and continue driving towards Yokohama. After about 40 kilometers, take exit 12 for Yokohama. Follow the signs for Naka Ward and Motomachi. Once you reach Motomachi, look for parking options nearby as street parking is limited. Be prepared to pay parking fees, which typically range from 200 to 600 yen per hour.

Public Transportation - Train
From Kai Station, take the JR Chuo Line towards Tokyo. Transfer at Kofu Station to the JR Koumi Line and take the train towards Kobuchizawa. At Kobuchizawa Station, transfer to the JR Chuo Line back towards Tokyo. Get off at Yokohama Station. From Yokohama Station, take the Minato Mirai Line to Motomachi-Chukagai Station. The fare for this journey is approximately 1,500 yen and takes about 1.5 to 2 hours in total. Once you exit the station, follow the signs to Motomachi Shopping Street, which is just a 5-minute walk away.

From Kai, you can take a bus to Kofu Station. At Kofu Station, transfer to the express bus headed for Yokohama. The bus ride will take about 1 hour and 30 minutes, with fares around 2,000 yen. Once you arrive at Yokohama, you can walk to Motomachi Shopping Street, which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the bus terminal.
