If you are near Kanazawa Castle or Kenrokuen Garden, head west toward Ishikawa-mon Gate. Follow the path alongside the castle walls. The gate is approximately 500 meters from the Kenrokuen Garden entrance, a 7-10 minute walk.

Public Transport
From Kanazawa Station, take the Kanazawa Loop Bus or any Hokutetsu bus that stops at the Kenrokuen-shita or Kanazawa Castle Park (Ishikawa-mon gate) bus stop. The bus ride takes about 20 minutes and costs ¥210. A one-day pass for unlimited rides on the loop bus and other local buses is available for ¥800.

From Kanazawa Station, a taxi ride to Ishikawa-mon Gate takes approximately 10 minutes. The estimated fare is ¥13,000.

Parking
If driving, several parking lots are available near Kenrokuen Garden and Kanazawa Castle Park. The Kenroku Car Park is open 24 hours and charges ¥350 for the first hour and ¥150 for every 30 minutes afterward between 7:30 and 22:00. Overnight parking from 22:00 to 8:00 costs ¥1,060. Be aware that parking may not always be available.
