Car
If you're driving from Tokyo, take the Kan-Etsu Expressway towards Maebashi. After approximately 80 kilometers, take the Maebashi IC exit. Follow the signs for Route 50 towards Maebashi city center. Continue on Route 50 for about 12 kilometers, then turn right onto Route 33. Follow this road for about 8 kilometers, and you'll reach Akagiyama located at Fujimimachi Akagisan, Maebashi, Gunma 371-0101. There is parking available near the base of the mountain.
Train
To visit Akagiyama via public transportation, start at Tokyo Station and take the Joetsu Shinkansen (bullet train) to Takasaki Station. The journey takes about 50 minutes. Upon arriving at Takasaki Station, transfer to the JR Agatsuma Line and take a train towards Ikaho Onsen. Get off at the Shin-Maebashi Station. From Shin-Maebashi Station, you can take a local bus towards Akagiyama or take a taxi for a short ride (approximately 15 minutes).
Bus
If you prefer to use buses, from Takasaki Station, take the Maebashi City Bus towards Akagiyama. The bus ride takes about 50 minutes, and you'll be dropped off at the nearest bus stop to Akagiyama. From the bus stop, it's a short walk to the entrance of the mountain.
