Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from central Kyoto. Take the Meishin Expressway (名神高速道路) towards Nagoya. After about 30 kilometers, take the exit towards Koka/Akame Onsen. Continue on Route 1, following signs for Koka. Once you reach Koka, follow the signs to Kōga Ninja Village located at 394 Kokacho Oki, Koka, Shiga. There is parking available on-site, but do check for any fees at the entrance.

Public Transportation
To reach Kōga Ninja Village via public transportation, take the JR Tokaido Line from Kyoto Station to Koka Station. This journey takes about 1 hour and costs approximately 1,500 yen. Upon arrival at Koka Station, you can take a free shuttle bus provided by the Ninja Village, or opt for a taxi which should cost around 1,500 yen to 2,000 yen. The shuttle bus schedule may vary, so check in advance to ensure you catch one that aligns with your visit.

For the more adventurous souls, consider renting a bicycle in Koka. There are local shops near Koka Station where you can rent a bike for about 1,000 yen per day. The ride to Kōga Ninja Village is approximately 6 kilometers and offers a scenic view of the countryside. Follow the road signs directing you to the village, and ensure you have a map or GPS on hand as some parts of the route can be rural and less populated.
