Getting There

• By Car

  If you are driving, start from central Omihachiman and head east on Route 8. Continue on Route 8 for about 15 minutes until you reach the Azuchi area. Look for signs directing you to Azuchi-eki Station (安土駅). Once you arrive at the station, you can park in the nearby parking lot, which is usually free or may charge a small fee depending on the duration of your stay. The Tourist Information Centre is located on the first floor of the station building, specifically on the north side. Follow the signs for the north exit (北口) to reach the center.

• By Train

  To reach the Azuchi-eki Station Tourist Information Centre via public transportation, take the train from Omihachiman Station (近江八幡駅) on the JR Biwako Line. Board a train heading towards Maibara and disembark at Azuchi Station (安土駅), which will take approximately 8 minutes. Upon arrival at Azuchi Station, use the north exit (北口) to access the Tourist Information Centre located on the first floor of the station. There is typically a small fare for the train ride, around 210 yen, depending on your starting point.

• By Bus

  If you prefer to travel by bus, you can catch a local bus from Omihachiman Station. Look for buses heading towards Azuchi or Azuchi-eki. The bus ride will take around 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. Get off at the Azuchi-eki bus stop, which is conveniently located near Azuchi Station. From the bus stop, walk towards the station entrance, and the Tourist Information Centre is located on the first floor at the north side of the building.
