    Getting There

    Train

    From Kyoto Station, board the JR San-in Line (also known as the JR Sagano Line) towards Saga-Arashiyama Station. The journey takes about 15 minutes. Once you arrive at Saga-Arashiyama Station, exit the station and head towards the west exit. From there, follow the signs to Arashiyama, which is approximately a 10-minute walk.

    Bus

    From Kyoto Station, take the Kyoto City Bus number 28 or number 11. These buses will take you directly to Arashiyama. The bus ride is about 30 minutes. Get off at the Arashiyama stop. Once you disembark, you will be right at the entrance of the Arashiyama area, where you can easily explore the attractions.

    Bicycle

    If you prefer to ride a bicycle, you can rent one from various rental shops around Kyoto. Start your ride from Kyoto Station and head towards the northwest direction following the Kamo River. The ride to Arashiyama takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Arashiyama, there are designated bike parking areas where you can securely park your bicycle.
