Getting There

  • Public Bus

    From Kyoto Station, take the Kyoto City Bus Number 100 or 206. Both buses travel towards the Higashiyama area. Get off at the 'Higashiyama Yasui' stop. From there, walk north on Yasui Street for about 5 minutes until you reach Hanamikoji-dori, which is famous for its traditional wooden machiya houses and tea houses.

  • Subway

    From Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Subway Line towards Kokusaikaikan. Transfer at Shijo Station to the Hankyu Line, and take the train to Kawaramachi Station. Once you exit the station, head east on Shijo-dori for about 10 minutes until you reach Hanamikoji-dori.

  • Walking

    If you are already in the Gion area, simply walk towards Hanamikoji-dori. From Gion Corner, head north on Hanamikoji-dori Street. You will find various shops and tea houses along the way. The street is easily recognizable by its traditional architecture.
