Getting There

Bus
From Kyoto Station, take the Kyoto City Bus number 100 or 206 towards 'Ginkakuji'. The ride will take approximately 40 minutes. Get off at the 'Ginkakuji-michi' bus stop. From there, walk north for about 10 minutes along the path until you reach Higashiyama Jisho-ji (Ginkaku-ji). The entrance is at 2 Ginkakujicho.

Subway and Bus
Take the Karasuma Subway Line from Kyoto Station to Imadegawa Station (about 10 minutes). Exit the station and transfer to Bus number 204 or 205 at the 'Imadegawa' bus stop. Take the bus towards 'Ginkakuji', which will take around 15 minutes. Get off at 'Ginkakuji-michi' stop and walk north for about 10 minutes to reach Higashiyama Jisho-ji.

Walking
If you are near the Philosopher's Path, you can walk to Higashiyama Jisho-ji. Start at the southern end of the path and head north along the cherry blossom trees. The walk will take about 20 minutes. Follow the path until you reach the temple at 2 Ginkakujicho.

You can also take a taxi from your location to Higashiyama Jisho-ji (Ginkaku-ji). Make sure to show the driver the address: 2 Ginkakujicho, Sakyo Ward, Kyoto, 606-8402. The fare will vary depending on your starting point, but it should take around 20-30 minutes depending on traffic.
