    From Kyoto Station, take the City Bus number 205 or 17 towards 'Daitoku-ji'. The journey takes approximately 40 minutes. Get off at the 'Daitoku-ji' bus stop. From there, walk 5 minutes north along the main road until you reach the entrance to Kōtō-in Temple, which is located at 73-1 Murasakino Daitokujicho, Kita Ward.

    Take the Karasuma Subway Line from Kyoto Station and transfer at 'Kitaoji Station'. From Kitaoji Station, take bus number 204 towards 'Daitoku-ji'. Get off at the 'Daitoku-ji' stop and walk 5 minutes north to reach Kōtō-in Temple.
