Once you exit the station, follow the signs towards Mount Kurama, which is about a 10-minute walk from the station. You will pass through a small village and may see signs for hiking trails leading up to the mountain.

    From Kyoto Station, take bus number 204 towards 'Higashiyama' and get off at the 'Kibune' stop. This journey will take about 40 minutes. After disembarking, walk towards the river and follow the signs that direct you to the trailhead for Mount Kurama, which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the bus stop.

    If you are in the central area of Kyoto, you can take a leisurely walk to Mount Kurama. Start at the Kyoto Imperial Palace and head north towards the Philosopher's Path. Continue walking along the path until you reach the entrance to the Kurama area. This walk will take around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace. Once you reach the Kurama area, follow the signs to the Mount Kurama trailhead.
