From Kyoto Station, take the bus number 204 or 93 towards 'Kitaoji Bus Terminal'. It takes about 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Kamitakano Hachimancho' stop. Once you get off, walk about 5 minutes northeast along the road, and you will find Rengeji Temple on your right.
Train and Walk
From Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Line subway to 'Kitaoji Station'. This journey takes about 25 minutes. After arriving at Kitaoji Station, exit the station and head towards the bus terminal. Take the bus number 204 or 93, and get off at 'Kamitakano Hachimancho'. From there, walk northeast for about 5 minutes, and Rengeji Temple will be on your right.

You can also take a taxi directly from your location in Kyoto to Rengeji Temple. Simply give the driver the address: 'Kamitakano Hachimancho, 1, Sakyo Ward, Kyoto'. The journey should take approximately 20-30 minutes depending on traffic.
