Getting There

Bus

From Kyoto Station, take bus number 28 towards 'Katsura'. Ride for about 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Saiin Kasuga Shrine' bus stop. The shrine will be just a short walk from the bus stop, located on Saiinkasugacho Street.
Train

From Kyoto Station, take the JR Sanin Line (also known as the JR Sagano Line) towards 'Kameoka'. Get off at 'Saiin Station'. From Saiin Station, it's approximately a 15-minute walk to Saiin Kasuga Shrine. Exit the station, head north on Kiyotaki Street, then turn right onto Saiinkasugacho Street and continue until you reach the shrine.
Bicycle

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle at one of the rental shops near Kyoto Station. Head north on the Sanjo Street bike lane, then turn left onto Arashiyama Street. Continue until you reach Saiinkasugacho and follow it until you arrive at Saiin Kasuga Shrine. The ride will take about 25-30 minutes.
Walking

If you're staying nearby, you can walk to Saiin Kasuga Shrine. From the nearest subway station, 'Saiin Station', exit and head north on Kiyotaki Street. After about 10 minutes, turn right onto Saiinkasugacho Street. Continue straight for about 5 minutes until you see the shrine on your left.
