From the heart of Gion, head east on Hanamikoji Street, which is lined with traditional wooden machiya houses and shops. Continue walking until you reach the end of the street. At the intersection, turn right onto Shijo Avenue. Walk straight for about 10 minutes; you will pass by various shops and cafes.
