Getting There

  • Subway

    From Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Line (green line) towards Kokusaikaikan. Ride for about 5 stops (approximately 12 minutes) and get off at the 'Keage' Station. After exiting the station, follow the signs to Nanzen-ji Temple. It’s a 15-minute walk from the station. Head east on Keage Road, and you will find the entrance to the temple on your right side.

  • Bus

    From Kyoto Station, board the bus number 100 or 206. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Nanzenji Eikando-michi' bus stop. Once you disembark, walk about 5 minutes in the direction of the Nanzen-ji Temple. You will see the temple entrance along the road.

  • Taxi

    If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from your location in Kyoto to Nanzen-ji Temple. Simply tell the driver 'Nanzen-ji' (南禅寺). The journey will take about 15-20 minutes depending on traffic.
