    If you are driving, take the Miyazaki Expressway (Miyazaki Kōsokudōro) and exit at Takachiho IC. Follow the signs to Takachiho town. Once in Takachiho, continue on Route 218 until you reach Mukoyama. The gorge is well-signposted, and you will find parking areas nearby.

    To reach Takachiho Gorge by public transportation, take a train to Nobeoka Station. From Nobeoka, transfer to a bus bound for Takachiho (the bus ride takes about 1 hour). Once you arrive at Takachiho bus station, you can catch a local bus or taxi to Takachiho Gorge, which is approximately 15 minutes away.

    If you're already in Takachiho town, you can easily take a taxi to Takachiho Gorge. Just tell the driver 'Takachiho Gorge' (高千穂峡), and they will know the route. The ride should take around 10 minutes from the town center.
