Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving, start by heading east on Route 139 from central Mount Fuji. After approximately 20 minutes, turn left onto Route 411 heading towards Tsuru. Continue for about 15 minutes until you see a sign for Natsugari. Turn right onto Natsugari and follow the road for another 5 minutes. Kounin will be on your left at 1884 Natsugari, Tsuru, Yamanashi 402-0035. Parking is available at the temple.

    To reach Kounin using public transport, take a bus from Mount Fuji Station to Tsuru Station. The bus ride takes about 45 minutes and costs approximately 1,000 yen. From Tsuru Station, you can take a local bus (the 'Natsugari Line') directly to Natsugari. The bus will drop you off near the temple, and from there, it’s a short 5-minute walk to Kounin at 1884 Natsugari, Tsuru, Yamanashi 402-0035.
