Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving, start by navigating to the ferry terminal on Naoshima Island. From there, take the road leading north towards Miyanoura. Continue driving until you reach the Naoshima Art Museum. From the museum, head east on the main road and follow the signs for the ferry to Honmura. After approximately 15 minutes, you will reach the ferry terminal. Take the ferry to Takamatsu Port, which costs about ¥1,400 for a one-way ticket. Once you arrive at Takamatsu, drive along Route 30 towards Kurashiki. Follow the signs to Asabara, and you will find Anyoji located at 1573 Asabara, Kurashiki, Okayama. It should take about an hour from Takamatsu to reach Anyoji.

    To reach Anyoji via public transportation, first, take the ferry from Miyanoura Port on Naoshima to Takamatsu Port. The ferry ride costs about ¥1,400 and takes around 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Takamatsu, take the Kotoden train from Takamatsu Station to Kurashiki Station. The train ride will take approximately 50 minutes and costs around ¥500. Upon arriving at Kurashiki Station, transfer to a local bus or take a taxi to Anyoji, which is located at 1573 Asabara, Kurashiki, Okayama. The bus ride will take about 20 minutes, while a taxi will be quicker but may cost around ¥1,500.
