Getting There

  • Train

    From Nara Station, take the Yamatoji Line Rapid Service towards Namba. Get off at Sannomiya Station. From Sannomiya Station, transfer to the Hanshin Line and take the train towards Kobe. Get off at Sumiyoshi Station. Once you exit the station, walk north towards Sumiyoshi Minamimachi. The Hakutsuru Sake Brewery Museum will be on your left at 4 Chome-5-5 Sumiyoshi Minamimachi.

    From Nara Station, take the Nara City Community Bus (Nara Kotsu) to the 'Kobe Sannomiya' bus terminal. From there, transfer to the Kobe City Bus, line number 36, and get off at 'Sumiyoshi'. Walk a short distance to Sumiyoshi Minamimachi. The museum will be at 4 Chome-5-5 Sumiyoshi Minamimachi on your right.

    If you are in the central area of Nara and prefer walking, you can walk to Nara Park (Nara Koen) and take the walking trail that leads to the nearest train station, Kintetsu Nara Station.
