    Getting There

    Bus

    From Nara Park, walk to the Nara Kintetsu Station. Take the Kintetsu Nara Line train to Kyoto Station. Once at Kyoto Station, transfer to the Kyoto City Bus. Take bus number 204 or 205 towards 'Kiyomizu-dera' and get off at 'Shimogamo Jinja-mae' bus stop. From there, Tadasu-no-Mori Forest is a short 5-minute walk; follow the signs towards the forest entrance.

    Train and Walk

    Start from Nara Park and walk to the Nara Station. Board the JR Nara Line train towards Kyoto and get off at Kyoto Station. Once at Kyoto Station, exit and walk towards the northern exit to catch bus number 204 or 205. Get off at the 'Shimogamo Jinja-mae' stop. The Tadasu-no-Mori Forest is just a 5-minute walk from there. Follow the path to the entrance of the forest.

    Taxi

    If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Nara to Tadasu-no-Mori Forest. Simply tell the driver the address: 〒606-0807 Kyoto, Sakyo Ward, Shimogamo Izumikawacho, 59−2-15. The ride will take approximately 45 minutes depending on traffic.

    Walking

    If you are adventurous and up for a long walk, you can take a scenic route from Nara to Tadasu-no-Mori Forest. Start at Nara Park and head towards the east, following the signs to the Yamatoji Path. This will take you through beautiful countryside and eventually lead you to Kyoto. The journey will take about 2 hours on foot, so ensure you're prepared with water and comfortable walking shoes.
