From Kyoto Station, take the Kyoto City Bus (No. 205) bound for 'Kurama Onsen'. Get off at the 'Shimogamo Jinja-mae' bus stop. The shrine is a short 5-minute walk from the bus stop. Follow the signs towards Shimogamo Shrine, and you will see the entrance shortly.

From Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Line to 'Kitaoji Station'. Exit the station and catch a bus (No. 204 or 205) that goes to 'Shimogamo Jinja-mae'. After disembarking, walk towards the entrance of the shrine, which is about a 5-minute walk.

You can take a taxi from anywhere in Kyoto. Simply tell the driver 'Shimogamo Jinja', and they will take you directly to the shrine. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes depending on traffic.

If you are staying nearby, you can walk to Shimogamo Shrine. From the Kyoto Botanical Gardens, head east towards the river, then follow the road north until you reach Shimogamo Izumikawacho. The shrine entrance will be on your left. It's about a 25-minute walk.
