Train
From Nara Station, take the Kintetsu Nara Line towards Kyoto. Get off at Uji Station. The journey takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Uji Station, exit the station and head towards the left. Follow the signs for Ujigami Jinja, which is approximately a 15-minute walk. You will pass through some quaint streets and may want to stop at local shops along the way.
Bus
From Nara, head to the Nara Bus Terminal. Take the Nara Kotsu Bus to Uji, which will take around 40 minutes. Disembark at the Uji Bus Stop. From there, Ujigami Jinja is about a 10-minute walk. Head east on the main road (Yamada-dori) and follow the signs for Ujigami Shrine, which will lead you directly to your destination.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle in Nara City. Follow the route along the river toward Uji, which is approximately a 12 km ride. The route is scenic and mostly flat, taking about 1 hour. Once you arrive in Uji, follow the signs to Ujigami Jinja, which is located near the Uji River.
