From Kyoto Station, take the JR Nara Line towards Nara. Get off at Uji Station, which is about a 20-minute ride. Once you arrive at Uji Station, exit the station and turn left. Walk about 10 minutes along the main road, cross the Uji River using the bridge, and continue straight. You will reach Hōzen-in Temple located at Sanbanwari-34-3 Gokasho.

From Kyoto Station, take the Kyoto City Bus #205 or #206 to Uji City. After approximately 40 minutes, get off at the 'Uji Station' stop. From there, walk straight down the road for about 10 minutes, cross the Uji River, and continue straight until you reach Hōzen-in Temple at Sanbanwari-34-3 Gokasho.
