    Getting There

    Car

    If you're driving from central Omi, head north on Route 158. Continue straight for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach Matsumoto. Look for signs that direct you to Kamikochi. Once you enter Matsumoto, take the exit for Azumi and follow the signs to the Kamikochi Visitor Center. The center will be located at 4468 Azumi, Matsumoto, Nagano 390-1516. There is parking available nearby.

    Public Transportation

    To reach Kamikochi Visitor Center using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Omi Station to Matsumoto Station. The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Once at Matsumoto Station, transfer to the Kamikochi bus service (Kamikochi Line), which will take you directly to the Kamikochi Visitor Center. The journey from Matsumoto Station to the Visitor Center is about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance, especially if you're traveling on weekends.
