Getting There

Car
From Owari, take the Chuo Expressway (中央自動車道). Follow the signs towards Nagano. After approximately 1.5 to 2 hours of driving, take the exit for Nagiso (南木曽) and follow the signs for Tsumago-juku. The drive will take you along scenic mountain roads and should take about 30 minutes from the expressway exit to reach Tsumago-juku. There are tolls on the expressway, so be prepared to pay around 1,500 to 2,500 yen depending on the exact route taken.

From Owari Station, take the JR Chuo Line towards Nagoya. Transfer at Nagoya Station to the JR Chuo Line Limited Express bound for Matsumoto.
