Getting There

  • Public Transport

    To reach Hinoji Valley via public transport, take a train from Tokushima Station to Awa-Ikeda Station on the Tokushima Line. From Awa-Ikeda Station, transfer to a local bus bound for Nishiiyayamamura. The bus ride takes approximately 50 minutes and costs around ¥800. Get off at the bus stop nearest to Hinoji Valley, from where it is approximately a 1 km walk to the observation point. Check the bus schedule in advance as services may be limited.

  • Taxi

    Alternatively, take a taxi from Awa-Ikeda Station to Hinoji Valley. The taxi ride takes approximately 30 minutes and costs between ¥4,000 to ¥5,000.

  • Car

    If driving from Tokushima City, take the Tokushima Expressway towards Miyoshi. Exit at the Miyoshi IC and follow Route 32. After approximately 30 km, turn onto Route 438 towards Nishiiyayamamura. Continue on Route 438 for about 15 km until you see signs for Hinoji Valley - Iya River Bend Observation Point. Parking is available near the observation point for around ¥500.
