Getting there

Car

To reach Shikoku Mountain by car, start from Kochi City. Take Route 32 (Kochi Prefectural Road) heading west. After approximately 30 km, you will reach the Tosa District. Continue following the signs for Wada. The drive will take around 45 minutes depending on traffic. There is no entry fee to access the mountain area, but ensure to have some cash for parking fees if applicable at nearby facilities.

Public Transportation

From Kochi Station, take the JR Tosa Line train towards Nakamura Station. Get off at Tosa-Kōri Station, which is about a 50-minute journey. From Tosa-Kōri Station, you can take a local bus (Kochi Prefecture Bus) that travels to Wada. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. The bus fare is around 500 yen. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance as services may be limited.

Taxi

If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Kochi City to Shikoku Mountain. This option is more expensive but convenient, especially if traveling in a group. The taxi ride will take around 45 minutes and could cost approximately 8,000 to 10,000 yen, depending on traffic and time of day.
