Getting There

Car
If you are driving, start from Tokushima City and take the Tokushima Expressway (Route 11) heading northwest. Continue on Route 11 for about 30 km (approximately 40 minutes) until you reach the Miyoshi Interchange. From the Miyoshi Interchange, exit onto Route 192 and follow the signs toward Miyoshi City. Keep going straight for about 15 km (approximately 20 minutes) until you reach the Higashiiyaochiai area. The village will be on your right side as you drive through. Parking is available near the village.

Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, take a train from Tokushima Station to Awa-Ikeda Station using the JR Tokushima Line. The journey takes about 1 hour. From Awa-Ikeda Station, transfer to a local bus heading toward Miyoshi City. The bus ride will take around 30 minutes. Get off at the Higashiiyaochiai bus stop. From there, you can walk to Ochiai Village, which is approximately a 10-minute walk along the main road.

For a more direct route from nearby train stations or bus stops, consider taking a local taxi. From Awa-Ikeda Station or the Higashiiyaochiai bus stop, a taxi can take you directly to Ochiai Village. The taxi fare will vary, but expect to pay around 1,500 to 2,000 yen for the ride, depending on the distance from your pickup point.
