Car
If you're driving to Nanbu Shrine from Sendai, take the Tohoku Expressway towards Morioka. After about 1.5 hours, take the exit towards Tōno. Continue on Route 4 for approximately 30 minutes. Follow the signs to Tōno City and then to Higashidatecho. Once in Tōno, navigate to 3-6 Higashidatecho. The shrine is located near the city center, and there is parking available nearby.

Train and Bus
From Sendai Station, take the Tohoku Shinkansen to Morioka Station (about 1 hour). From Morioka Station, transfer to the JR Iwate Galaxy Railway and head to Tōno Station (about 40 minutes). Upon arrival at Tōno Station, exit the station and take the local bus bound for Higashidatecho (around 15 minutes). Get off at the Higashidatecho stop, and you will see Nanbu Shrine just a short walk away at 3-6 Higashidatecho. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance as services may vary.
