If you are traveling by car, head towards Tōno City in Iwate Prefecture. From the Tōhoku Expressway, take the Tōno IC exit. Follow Route 4 towards Tōno City for approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in the city, look for signs directing you to the Tono Folktale Museum located at 央通り2−11. There is parking available near the museum, and it is advisable to check for any parking fees, which typically are around 300 yen for a few hours.

Train and Bus
For those using public transportation, take the shinkansen (bullet train) to Morioka Station, which is the nearest major station. From Morioka Station, transfer to the Iwate Galaxy Railway and board a train heading towards Tōno Station. The journey takes about 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Tōno Station, exit the station and look for the local buses that run to the Tono Folktale Museum. Bus fare is approximately 200 yen. Alternatively, it is about a 20-minute walk to the museum from the station.
