Getting There

  • Train

    From Tokyo Station, take the JR Yamanote Line (green line) towards Shinagawa. It takes about 10 minutes to reach Shinagawa Station. Once you arrive at Shinagawa Station, follow the signs to the East Exit (Higashi-guchi). After exiting, turn right and walk straight for about 5 minutes until you reach Kitashinagawa Station.

  • Train

    At Kitashinagawa Station, take the Keikyu Main Line towards Narita Airport. Get off at the next stop, which is 'Shinagawa Station'. Exit the station and head towards the East Exit (Higashi-guchi). Once outside, turn right and walk straight for roughly 15 minutes. You will find Shotoku-ji at 2 Chome-9-26 Kitashinagawa.

  • Walking

    If you are already in the vicinity of Shinagawa Station, you can walk to Shotoku-ji. From the East Exit of Shinagawa Station, walk straight down the road, passing the Shinagawa Prince Hotel on your left. Continue walking straight for about 15 minutes until you reach the temple located at 2 Chome-9-26 Kitashinagawa.

  • Bus

    From Shinagawa Station, you can also take a bus. Head to the bus terminal outside the East Exit, and look for buses heading towards 'Kitashinagawa'. After about a 5-minute ride, get off at the '2 Chome Kitashinagawa' stop. From there, Shotoku-ji is just a short 3-minute walk away.
