    If you're traveling by car, start from Yufuin Station. Head southwest on Yufuin St toward Route 210. Take a left onto Route 210 and continue for approximately 12 kilometers (about 15 minutes). Follow the signs towards Beppu and then Kannawa. Once you reach Kannawa, look for Hyotan Onsen located at 159-2 Kannawa, Beppu, Oita 874-0042. There is parking available on-site.

  • Public Transportation (Bus)

    From Yufuin Station, take the local bus towards Beppu. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Be sure to check the bus schedule as they may vary. Alight at Kannawa Onsen bus stop, which is the closest stop to Hyotan Onsen. From the bus stop, it is a short 5-minute walk to the onsen. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions if needed.
