Car
From Dana Village, start by heading south on the main road (Road 15). Continue for about 20 kilometers until you reach the junction for Wadi Musa. Turn right onto the road leading into Wadi Musa. Follow this road for approximately 5 kilometers until you see signs for the Viewpoint Petra. There is limited parking available near the viewpoint, and you may have to walk a short distance to reach the exact viewing area.

Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, you can take a shared taxi (service taxi) from Dana Village to Wadi Musa. These taxis usually wait until they are full before departing. The journey will take about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Wadi Musa, you can either walk or hire a local taxi to take you to the Viewpoint Petra, which is approximately 10 minutes away.

If you are in good physical condition and feel adventurous, you can opt to walk from Wadi Musa to the Viewpoint Petra. From the center of Wadi Musa, head towards the Petra Visitor Center and follow the signs for the viewpoint. The hike will take approximately 1-1.5 hours, depending on your pace, and offers beautiful views along the way. Make sure to wear appropriate footwear and bring water.
