Walking
From the center of Ma'an, head west towards the main road (King Abdullah II Street). Walk straight until you reach the junction with Wadi Musa Road. Turn left onto Wadi Musa Road and continue walking for about 2 kilometers. You will pass local shops and cafes along the way. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Petra, as the route is well-marked. After approximately 20-30 minutes of walking, you will begin to see the entrance to Petra on your right. Follow the signs to the Byzantine Church.

Public Transportation
From Ma'an, you can take a local minibus to Wadi Musa. These minibuses depart from the main bus station in Ma'an. Inform the driver that you are headed to Petra (they are familiar with tourists going to the site). The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Wadi Musa, head towards the entrance to Petra, which is only a short walk from where the minibus drops you off. Follow the signs pointing to the Byzantine Church once you enter the site.

If you prefer biking, you can rent a bicycle in Ma'an. Start by heading towards King Abdullah II Street and then turn onto Wadi Musa Road. The bike ride will take you about 20-30 minutes to reach Wadi Musa. Be cautious of traffic and ensure you have a map or GPS to help navigate. Once you reach Wadi Musa, park your bike and walk towards the entrance of Petra. Follow the signs for the Byzantine Church.
