Getting There

Walking
From Wadi Rum Village, head south along the main trail leading into the desert. As you walk, keep an eye out for the large sandstone cliffs on your left. Continue walking for about 2 kilometers until you reach a fork in the path. Take the right fork, which leads you towards the rock formations. Follow this path for another kilometer, and you will start to see Chicken Rock in the distance. Make sure to take the time to enjoy the stunning desert scenery along the way.

Camel Trekking
In Wadi Rum Village, you can hire a camel and guide. Start your journey by riding south into the desert. The guide will lead you towards Chicken Rock, which is a well-known landmark. After about 45 minutes to 1 hour of riding, the guide will stop at the base of Chicken Rock, where you can dismount and take photos of this unique formation. Make sure to communicate with your guide about your destination before starting your trek.
