From Wadi Rum Village, start at the main entrance of the visitor center. Head south along the main path that leads into the desert. The path is well-marked and frequented by other tourists. As you walk, you will see stunning rock formations on both sides. Continue walking for about 4 kilometers until you reach a junction. Here, take the left fork which leads towards Um Sabatah. Follow this path for another 1.5 kilometers. You will notice distinctive rock formations that mark your approach to Um Sabatah.
