Car
If you are driving from Almaty city center, head southeast on Timiryazev Street towards the Medeu District. Follow signs to the Medeu Skating Rink. From the rink, continue on the road leading into the mountains. You will need to pay a small entrance fee at the Medeu area, typically around 500 KZT (Kazakhstani Tenge). After passing the entrance, follow the winding road until you reach the parking area near the trailhead for Titov Peak. The GPS coordinates for the parking area are approximately 43.074751, 77.048545.
Public Transportation
To reach Titov Peak using public transportation, take a bus or taxi from Almaty city center to the Medeu area. The bus number 12 travels to Medeu and operates regularly. The fare is around 200 KZT. Once you arrive at the Medeu Skating Rink, you will need to walk or take a taxi to the trailhead. If walking, follow the road leading into the mountains for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the parking area near the trailhead for Titov Peak. This is a popular route, so you can also ask locals for directions.
Hiking
From the parking area near the trailhead, begin your hike towards Titov Peak. The trail is well-marked and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Ensure you have appropriate hiking gear and sufficient water. The hike can take approximately 3-5 hours depending on your fitness level. Be mindful of the weather and always check local conditions before starting your hike.
