Car
From the center of Almaty, head southeast on Abay Avenue towards the Bostandyk District. Continue straight for about 8 km until you reach the Kok Tobe access road, which is well-marked. The road will lead you directly to the Kok Tobe Park entrance. Note that parking is available near the entrance but may incur a small fee (around 500 KZT).
Public Transportation (Bus)
Take bus number 12 from the Almaty city center, located near the Republic Square. The bus will take you towards the Bostandyk District. After approximately 30 minutes, disembark at the Kok Tobe stop. From there, follow the signs to the entrance of Kok Tobe Park, which is about a 10-minute walk uphill. The bus fare is around 150 KZT.
Taxi or Ride-sharing
For a more comfortable option, you can use taxi services or ride-sharing apps (like Yandex.Taxi or Bolt) available in Almaty. Simply input 'Kok Tobe' as your destination, and the driver will take you directly to the park entrance. The ride from the city center will cost approximately 1,000 to 1,500 KZT, depending on traffic.
Cable Car
If you are looking for a unique experience, consider taking the cable car from the bottom of the hill. You can start at the foot of Kok Tobe, located near the city center. The cable car ride offers stunning views of the city and mountains. Tickets for the cable car cost around 1,200 KZT one way. The cable car station is easily accessible by taxi or public transport.
