If you're traveling by car, start from Almaty. Drive east on A2 towards the town of Talgar. After about 30 kilometers, take the exit for the A351 road towards Kolsai Lakes. Follow this road for approximately 80 kilometers, passing through the village of Saty. The roads can be rough, so prepare for some bumps along the way. Upon arrival at the park entrance, you may need to pay a small entrance fee (around 500 KZT per person). Park your car in the designated area and proceed to the hiking trails.

Public Transportation
To reach Kolsai Lakes via public transport, take a bus or minivan from Almaty to the village of Saty. Buses leave from the Sayran Bus Station frequently. The fare is approximately 1,000 KZT and the journey takes around 3-4 hours. Once you arrive in Saty, you can either walk to the park entrance (about 5 kilometers) or hire a local taxi for around 1,500-2,000 KZT to take you directly to the park entrance. The entrance fee to the park will be around 500 KZT per person.
