Car Rental
If you prefer to rent a car, you can do so from various rental services available in the Kilimanjaro Region. Make sure to have a valid driver's license and familiarize yourself with local driving rules. Once you have your vehicle, head towards Nanyuki. The route will generally involve taking the A23 road south until you reach the junction for the B5 road towards Nanyuki. Follow the B5 road for approximately 45 kilometers until you reach Nanyuki. From Nanyuki, use GPS coordinates XXW7+7FQ to guide you to the Rongai Gate of Ol Pejeta Conservancy.
Public Transportation (Matatu)
You can take a matatu (shared taxi) from various locations in the Kilimanjaro Region to Nanyuki. Look for matatus heading towards Nanyuki at local bus stations. The journey may take around 2-3 hours depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Nanyuki, you will need to take a boda boda (motorcycle taxi) or a local taxi to reach the Rongai Gate at Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Ensure to negotiate the fare before the ride.
