Experience Materuni Waterfall

Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving, head towards Moshi town from any location in the Kilimanjaro Region. From Moshi, take the Machame Road (B1) towards Machame. After approximately 10 kilometers, turn left onto the Materuni Road (a sign for Materuni Waterfall may be visible). Continue on this road for about 5 kilometers until you reach the entrance to Materuni Waterfall. There will be a parking area available.

  • Public Transport (Daladala)

    From Moshi town, locate the daladala (minibus) station and board a daladala heading to Machame. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the Materuni stop. This journey takes about 30-45 minutes. Once you arrive at the Materuni stop, you will need to walk approximately 2 kilometers uphill to reach the waterfall entrance. Be prepared for a moderately steep walk.

    After arriving at the Materuni stop via daladala, walk along the dirt path leading up to the waterfall. The path is well-marked, but you may encounter uneven terrain.
