    If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Moshi, a popular base for Kilimanjaro climbers. Take the A23 road heading northwest towards Boma Ng'ombe. Continue on A23 until you reach the junction with the B2 road. Turn left onto B2 and follow it for about 80 kilometers, passing through towns like Makutano and Kabale. Once you reach the town of Mbale, follow the signs to Mount Elgon National Park. Be prepared for some winding roads and possibly rough terrain as you approach the park entrance.

    To reach Mount Elgon using public transportation, you can take a matatu (shared taxi) or bus from Moshi to Mbale.
