    Car

    If you are traveling by car, start from the main entrance of Mount Elgon National Park, located at the Sironko gate. Follow the main road through the park, which is well-marked. After approximately 12 kilometers, look for signs directing you towards Kanyarkwat village. Make a right turn onto a dirt road and continue for about 5 kilometers. You will see a sign for KipyeGen Mini Waterfall. Park your vehicle in the designated parking area, and from there, it’s a short 10-minute walk down the path to the waterfall.

    Public Transportation

    To reach KipyeGen Mini Waterfall using public transport, first take a matatu (a shared taxi) from Mbale to Kanyarkwat. The journey takes about 1 hour and costs approximately 100 KES. Once you reach Kanyarkwat, ask the driver to drop you near the entrance to Mount Elgon National Park. From there, you can hire a local guide or walk along the well-defined path leading to the waterfall, which is about a 30-minute trek. Make sure to agree on the guide's fee in advance, which typically ranges from 500 to 1000 KES.
