Getting There

  • Car

    From the main entrance of Mount Elgon National Park, drive towards the town of Mbale. Follow the signs for the Sironko route, which will lead you towards Buligenyi. Once you reach Buligenyi, keep an eye out for local directional signs pointing to Sisiyi Falls. The falls are located approximately 15 kilometers from Buligenyi. Parking may be available near the falls, but it's advisable to check in advance.

  • Public Transportation

    Take a matatu (shared taxi) from Mbale to Buligenyi. The trip usually takes about 45 minutes to an hour. Upon arrival in Buligenyi, you can ask the local drivers or residents for directions to Sisiyi Falls. It's recommended to hire a boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) to take you the last stretch to the falls, which is about a 20-minute ride. Make sure to agree on a fare before the ride.
