When you reach Karatina, follow signs to Ruiri Town via the B5 road. Continue on the B5 road for about 20 km until you reach Ruiri Town. Njeru's Peak is located at coordinates 0.1901153, 37.6835343, just a short drive from the town center. You can park your car in Ruiri Town and proceed on foot to the hiking trails leading to the peak.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Njeru's Peak using public transportation, take a matatu (shared taxi) from Nanyuki to Karatina. The journey takes about 45 minutes. Once in Karatina, transfer to another matatu heading towards Ruiri Town. The matatu journey to Ruiri will take approximately 30 minutes. After arriving in Ruiri Town, you can ask local residents for directions to the hiking trails leading to Njeru's Peak. Make sure to confirm the cost of the matatu rides upfront; it usually ranges from KES 100 to KES 300 per trip depending on the distance.
