Getting There

  • Car

    Start your journey from the Mount Kenya Region by taking the A2 highway towards Nairobi. Continue on the A2 for approximately 150 kilometers until you reach the junction for the A109 towards Mombasa. Take the A109 heading south for about 180 kilometers until you reach the Tsavo East National Park entrance at the Bachuma Gate. The park is well-signposted, and the entrance is located at coordinates -2.7848, 38.8174. Be mindful of the entrance fees, which are approximately $20 for non-residents and $10 for residents per person.

    From your location in the Mount Kenya Region, make your way to the nearest bus station and board a bus heading to Mombasa. Buses to Mombasa are frequent and the journey takes around 4 to 5 hours. Ask the driver to drop you off at the Voi town bus station.
